Hmm...That's about how I am feeling
I had a very relaxing week. My mom and my best friend Shannon came to Austin on Monday. It was cool. We mostly just chilled. Cooked dinner on Monday and went to P.F. Changs on Tuesday. I found out this week that I didn't get the Church's Chicken commercial. :( boo. Total bummer. I really could have used that money, but everything happens for a reason and at least I got a call-back out of it. Which means I am not totally horrible at this acting thing.
I got an email from my agent on Tuesday to do a small print shoot on Friday. It ended up being a really cool gig. I was basically just stock photography. Which means I get paid a small fee to use my pics and then the photographer can sell them on websites like gettyimages.com to other businesses. So the photographer makes most of the money off of the shots. They are the kind of cheesy shots you see on websites and in brochures of people working on laptops together looking really excited.
Well anyway the photogs for this shoot were a really nice older couple from Toronto and another younger gentleman. They were such nice people with such warm souls. You know how you can just tell when you meet someone that they are good people. Well these people were. Anyway they were telling me all about their business and what they do. Apparently sometimes they work with really big time models. And the big time models don't get any fee up front, but they get residuals on the back end. Then they started telling me about how next month they are taking 4 models to Rome for a day and then going on an 8-day 5-star cruise in the Mediterranean. Then landing in Athens, Greece for a day. They will shoot everyday for about 4 hours and that's it. How cool is that? Can you imagine an all expense paid trip to Italy? Whoa!!! So I told them to definitely keep my info and if they ever want to take me on a trip all over the world for free...I am game.
No real updates on my big news. Things are still in the works I guess. I hope all goes well. I have been doing lots and lots of praying. But if it doesn't work out...Oh well. At least I will get to shoot on the Robert Rodriguez film starting this week. Until then. Holla!!!! :)
